I've Been There. And I've Spent 20+ Years Finding What Actually Works.

I'm a mom, musician, and mindfulness expert who believes kids need connection—not perfection. Let me show you…

I'M A MOM FIRST

As parents, we often find ourselves rushing through our days. I remember a morning feeling frazzled and calling from the kitchen… “Five more minutes!” “Time to get ready!” “We’re going to be late!” Each reminder met with silence, while I could hear my son’s blocks still click-clacking in the other room.

This was a daily dance—me racing and urgently reminding, him ignoring me while completely absorbed in his block city. Sound familiar?

One morning, I stopped cleaning up the kitchen and sat down on the rug by him. “Tell me what you’re building.” His face lit up. And after sixty seconds of me truly listening, he was ready—shoes on, out the door, no power struggle.

That morning taught me something. When your kids feel connected to you, they’re calmer. And when they’re calmer, everything else gets easier.

Taking sixty seconds to step into their world can transform your world.

Music

I started as a musician— writing songs, performing, just trying to make art I loved.

Then I became a mom, and suddenly all my songs were… about pancakes and crickets. (Not what I’d planned, honestly.)

But something interesting happened: kids responded. Not just to the music, but to the way the music made them feel. Calmer. More connected. More themselves.

Here’s what I learned: kids are hardwired from birth to love rhythm and music. All young kids love listening to it, creating it, moving to it. And when they experience live music? Magic happens.

Movement

Kids need to move. A lot. So I started weaving simple yoga- inspired movements into my music programs.

We all know exercise is good for us, but for kids, whose recesses are getting shorter, it’s absolutely essential. For their physical health and to help their brains focus so they can actually learn.

A quick movement break in the middle of class? Ten times more effective than verbally trying to convince kids to stop fidgeting.

And yoga? It’s one of the simplest, most beneficial, non-competitive (yet very athletic) forms of exercise out there. All kids can do yoga. It benefits everyone, and it can be done anywhere. Yoga improves coordination and balance, increases flexibility and strength—all while helping kids focus.

Mindfulness

Here's the thing: Our kids are growing up in a turbulent world.

Media consumption is at an all-time high. School testing, packed schedules, stressed-out adults around them—it all takes a toll.

And the more hours kids spend sitting (often in front of screens), the more disconnected they are.

Simple, and fun, mindfulness exercises give kids tools to develop self awareness, recognize how they’re feeling, and pause before reacting. They help kids release anxiety, improve focus, and develop compassion and empathy for others.

What more valuable skills can we give them?

Music, Movement, & Mindfulness

What these benefits add up to in real life: kids who can calm themselves down, handle disappointment, and navigate big feelings without falling apart.

Kids don’t need to be fixed. They need to be met where they are—with patience, with playful tools that work with their developing brains, and with adults who can stay present even when it’s hard. You’ll find everything you need to make that happen right here.
