Children are born with natural compassion, but it’s important that they're encouraged to practice it. This simple, sweet mindfulness exercise from Breathe Like a Bear gently guides children to think of others—not only someone they love, but also someone they don’t know well, or someone who they know might be having a hard time—and to “say” something kind to them. It helps them consider the circumstances and feelings of others, an essential skill for kids (and all of us) to practice.
In this new episode of Zen Sessions for Kids, we’ll send good thoughts to those around us, and sing my Namaste song, from my very first album, Dance for the Sun.
NAMASTE SONG
The light in me
sees the light in you
the light in me
sees the light in you
I honor you
as you honor me
namaste, namaste, namaste
